Welcome to SLP Atlas ("SLP Atlas," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SLP Atlas mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account or using SLP Atlas, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

SLP Atlas is intended for Speech-Language Pathologists, students, educators, caregivers, and related professionals. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. By using SLP Atlas, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use SLP Atlas for any unlawful purpose.
Post, upload, or share content that is defamatory, harassing, or infringes on others' rights.
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from SLP Atlas without permission.
Share content that contains Protected Health Information (PHI) of identifiable patients without proper authorization.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional credentials.

4. Professional Responsibility

SLP Atlas provides educational and organizational tools. The Services do not constitute professional medical or clinical advice.

You are solely responsible for your clinical decisions and professional conduct.
You are responsible for complying with HIPAA, FERPA, IDEA, and applicable local laws when storing any client or student information.
SLP Atlas is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

SLP Atlas aggregates and links to third-party resources. All resources remain the property of their respective creators and copyright holders.

You may not copy, redistribute, or resell content from SLP Atlas without permission from the rights holder.
Content you post to community areas (discussions, material exchange) remains your property, but you grant SLP Atlas a license to display it within the Services.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of SLP Atlas may require a paid subscription.
Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, and their respective terms apply.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis unless cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Apple or Google. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not store your payment card information.

7. Disclaimers

SLP Atlas is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Services.

We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
SLP Atlas is not a HIPAA-compliant platform unless specifically designated as such.
Users are responsible for verifying the appropriateness of any resource for their clinical use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SLP Atlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SLP Atlas harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Please see our Account Deletion Policy for details, or visit slp-atlas.org/delete-account.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive shall remain in effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. The updated Effective Date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of SLP Atlas constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
